Abstract

Today, the phenomenon of urbanization has led to numerous problems such as spatial injustice, which in itself encompasses various dimensions of the quality of society. Spatial equity has always played a fundamental role in improving the standard of living and satisfaction of different societies; a topic that has always interested researchers and scholars of different sciences in different dimensions and in relation to different variables. Therefore, the present study seeks to understand the conditions of scientific products and their outcomes through scientometric analysis and by visualizing scientific products in the field of spatial justice based on the Web of Science scientific database in order to better understand the nature of scientific actions of researchers and ultimately identify the strengths and weaknesses in this scientific field. In order to achieve the statistical population of the present study, all studies conducted in the field of urban planning are included in the Web of Science database. In this study, the VisViewer software was used to draw and analyze scientific maps. The research results show that the number of studies in this field will increase in the period 2021-2024. Keywords such as governance and urban planning in the context of spatial justice have also received much attention from researchers in recent years. The results show that among the relevant journals and publications, publications such as Land, Sustainability and Urban-Studies, which are mainly active in the field of geography and urban studies, are among the leading journals and have played a fundamental role in promoting the discourse on spatial justice.

The main objective of the review is to provide a comprehensive picture of the state of the science of spatial justice, to identify future research opportunities, and to emphasize the importance of strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and discourse on spatial justice among researchers and policy makers.
