Abstract
Utilizing the social capacities and participatory potential of residents living within historical urban fabrics can serve as a social anchor in crisis management, reducing vulnerability and thereby enhancing and strengthening social resilience. Accordingly, the present study aims to analyze the social capacities of the historical fabric of the Rasht-e-Kucheh neighborhood in Tabriz in promoting social resilience against crises. This research is quantitative in nature, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS software and the path analysis method to examine both the direct and indirect effects on social resilience. The findings reveal that the variable of participatory capacity plays the most significant role in enhancing social resilience, with a t-value of 4.98. Furthermore, the results indicate that mutual trust among residents, sense of place attachment, and active neighborhood interactions indirectly contribute to strengthening social resilience. In addition, local networks and traditional social institutions act as effective mediators in transmitting social capital and fostering social cohesion during crises. Overall, the study emphasizes the crucial role of social capital, particularly trust and active citizen cooperation, in crisis planThe findings reveal that the variable of participatory capacity plays the most significant role in enhancing social resilience, with a t-value of 4.98.
